I was born and lived in Bath until 1968 when I came to Barcelona. I took my BA, MA and PhD at the University of Barcelona where I taught from 1982 onwards.

I am an Honorary Prof at The University of Barcelona [Retd] I founded The Centre for Australian and Transcultural Studies at the University. My teaching has centred on Australian Studies and English Poetry. My research centers on non-British convicts transported to Australia and Human Rights and the elderly.
