Since its foundation in 2014, GALA has held regular conferences bringing together faculty and students from across the network and beyond to share research, pedagogy, and creative practice.

Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Kenya: ‘The Liberal Arts in Action: Catalysts for Change’ 

The Global Academy of Liberal Arts will hold its next conference in Nairobi, Kenya, 13–15 October 2026. Our hosts will be the Catholic University of Eastern Africa: https://www.cuea.edu/   

The conference will feature over 30 papers from speakers from almost 20 different universities focusing on themes such as Interdisciplinarity in Education, Technology and the Liberal Arts, Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility, Sustainability and the Environment, and Global Perspectives.
