You will recall last year that we shared details of a national UK funding scheme, Newton Fellowships, aimed at supporting international postdoctoral researchers to research at a UK university for two years.

These are open to early career researchers wishing to research at any UK university but we encouraged applicants to consider Bath Spa University as their UK university of choice. We received a lot of interest at that time but there wasn’t enough time to proceed with all of them. So, we decided to seek expressions of interests from early career researchers at GALA partners several months ahead of the usual deadline — only for the scheme to be launched several months earlier than usual!

So we’re sharing information about the overall call and invite expressions of interests for applicants who specifically want to research with researchers at Bath Spa University as soon as possible so that we have enough time to support applicants in preparing suitably strong applications.

The funder deadline is 16 March 2022 so we are asking for an outline proposal and a short summary CV to be sent to researchsupportoffice@bathspa.ac.uk by 10am on 11 February 2022. Unfortunately, late submissions will not be considered.
