Iwona Fluda, Ministry of Imagination, Switzerland and Laura Barritt, PhD Researcher and Lecturer, Cardiff University.

Iwona Fluda is the CEO of the Ministry of Imagination in Switzerland. For her proposed PhD study Iwona is asking these questions: What are the tools that can help to enable and develop creativity in individuals and teams? How are creativity and creative skills essential for co-creating a sustainable world? How to use creativity to co-create a sustainable world, and what is the impact of this transformation?

Laura Barritt is a lecturer in education development at Cardiff University. Her role involves supporting the development and delivery of Education Fellowship programmes across the university. Her research interests and expertise involve pedagogic theory and development, sustainable learning and teaching practices, creative learning, arts practice, and transdisciplinary learning and teaching. She completed an MRes in 2018 with a focus on adolescent metacognitive behaviour via materialisation in arts practice, which led into a transdisciplinary PhD. Laura’s PhD work considers person-environment relations in a hyperconnected era and their impact on developing cognition in learners. Her PhD thesis considers how we might better situate pedagogy through engagement with arts practice to better correspond with learners’ developing needs as the environment evolves.
