A conversation about creativity, mental health and wellbeing and Alice Tarbuck and Sophie Robinson.
What does it mean to be creative – and to be ‘well’ – in times of crisis? This event explores this question in the company of Alice Tarbuck and Sophie Robinson – two creative practitioners and educators whose work spans poetry and cultural history, magic and radical pedagogy. Opening with readings from recent work, we will talk about about art, rituals and magic as survival, forms of protest, and ways of reaching for collective and personal flourishing – with conversations about moon worship, river swimming, and cats along the way.
This event marks the launch of the Research Centre of Mental Health, Creativity and Wellbeing at Bath Spa University, and is run with the support of the Research Centre for Environmental Humanities.
