What are we doing in the Humanities to speak to a new generation, to recruit and retain and ultimately train them for life? Are we overlooking the needs as well as the value of nontraditional students, who are drawn to our subjects and a less obviously and rigidly academic environment? Are we in danger of winning the money battle but losing the war for our own survival? And are the Humanities in Crisis or is the Crisis really an Opportunity?
