Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at SUNY Geneseo, Stacey Robertson visits Bath Spa University

Above (from left to right): Lizzie Watts, Ian Gadd, Stacey Robertson, John Strachan, Rebecca McGuire-Snieckus Newly appointed Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs at SUNY Geneseo, Stacey Robertson, visited Bath Spa University to discuss ways of expanding our student exchange programme, teaching and research collaborations. Geneseo were a founding partner of GALA. The key contact then was the Provost Carol Long: she was at the launch in 2014, and also attended the GALA meeting in Mexico in 2016, with Becky Lewis from the International Office and two recent Geneseo graduates. Geneseo’s President Denise Battles participated in the 2015 GALA meeting in Beijing. Carol Long moved to another institution in 2016, and Stacey Robertson was appointed in her place: https://www.geneseo.edu/news/stacey-m-robertson-named-provost-suny-geneseo Professor Robertson is an American historian by training, with a particular interest in the role of women in the abolitionist movement. She is co-director of Historians Against Slavery; she will be travelling on from Bath to Liverpool for this organisation’s biennial conference. This was her first visit to Bath Spa.
