A postcard from Washington

Posted on June 30, 2015

I was delighted to go to the AAC&U Centennial Annual Meeting in Washington to deliver a panel presentation with Cynthia Hammond, Becky Lewis, Carol Long and Alejandra Vilalta. The energy and enthusiasm of delegates reinforced importance of our joint endeavour. It was an honour to talk about the mission of our network and activities that engage international, interdisciplinary and inter-generational perspectives to deepen and broaden the experiences of students and staff. Globalisation has never been so important. The topic of our panel, A Global Path to Creative Engagement, explored the relationship between creativity and social engagement, and how can liberal arts institutions around the globe collaboratively nurture that relationship in order to build global competence and contribute to progress on challenging global issues.
