The Mexico City Campus at Tecnológico de Monterrey hosts over 8,000 regular students within four schools offering 34 degrees in the Academic Offering. The campus is well serviced with sports, arts and cultural facilities. Students have access to research laboratories to support their topics as well as internship opportunities. More than 250 courses are Courses are taught in English each semester in areas including: architecture, humanities and social sciences, communication and journalism, applied art and design, sciences and engineering, business and management, information technologies and electronics, health and law.

Summer certificates (taught in English) are offered in three main areas:

Corruption and human rights

  • Corruption in Latin America: Political and economic insights for prevention
  • Human rights and world politics

Innovation, development and negotiation

  • Innovation, markets and technological development
  • Intercultural negotiation and communication

International marketing and public relations

  • International marketing
  • Public relations

 

Basic, intermediate and advanced Spanish intensive courses as well as internship opportunities are also available with the summer school programme. Tailor-made programmes are also available, subject to a minimum of 12 students.

Research interests

Researchers at the Mexico City Campus at Tecnológico de Monterrey conduct scientific and technological research in strategic areas to meet the nation’s social, economic and environmental demands: biotechnology and food, social sciences, regional development, social development, sustainable development, education, entrepreneurship, government, humanities, manufacturing and design, mechatronics, nanotechnology, business, health, and information and communications technologies.

The Tecnológico de Monterrey researcher have also created the Legacy Projects, which are economic, social, political and sustainability development initiatives to solve the country’s critical issues:

Pyramid-base legacy

This legacy seeks to contribute to enhancing the quality of life of communities in Mexico with high and very high levels of poverty, and to support improvements in the design, implementation and assessment of public policies for development and to fight poverty through applied research.

Public-policy legacy

This legacy covers two major areas of knowledge: security and rule of law, and knowledge-based regional economic development.

Sustainability legacy

This legacy contributes with its research projects to the transition toward sustainability.
